Shenxian Cave is located on the southern bank of the Suifen River, 1.5 kilometers southwest of Dongning Town. Outside the cave, two peaks rise majestically, each about a hundred meters high, with shrubs scattered between them. On the western peak, ancient trees grow among the cliffs. At the mid-level of the cliff, wild pigeons have built their nests. When visitors climb to the top of the cliff, the pigeons and white clouds seem to fly beneath their feet. To the north and west, beneath the cliffs, the turbulent waters of the Suifen River meander through, with depths of dozens of meters. The twin peaks and ancient trees are all picturesquely reflected in the water. The steep cliffs are so daunting that visitors dare not look down. A few meters inward, the rocks under the southwestern cliff recess, while the cliff top forms an umbrella-like shelter overhead. On rainy or snowy days, visitors can enjoy the view of Shenxian Cave from here without getting wet. Walking straight across the green grass from the base of the western cliff, one can reach the mouth of Shenxian Cave by climbing ladders or scaling the rocks. At the cave entrance, facing the stone wall, devotees have carved a several-meter-high Chinese character “仙” (Immortal), along with smaller inscriptions such as “Heaven is just three feet above your head.” Inside the cave, you can stand upright at first, but after a few meters, you must bend down. Further in, the low ceiling prevents you from going any deeper. It is still unknown how deep the cave extends. When pebbles are thrown in, their rolling sound fades gradually into the distance, leaving no trace of where they land. Legend has it that immortals once lived in this cave, hence its name, and even today, devotees still offer incense. On the southern riverbank of Shenxian Cave lies a sandy beach spanning hundreds of meters, which serves as an ideal natural swimming spot in summer. Further west is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts.

The southern mountain of Shenxian Cave is covered with wild roses, while the northern bank boasts endless orchards. In the flowering season, the roses on the southern bank blaze red like fire, and the apple and pear blossoms on the northern bank shine white like snow. The waters of the Suifen River are dyed half red and half white, making visitors feel as if they are walking through a sea of flowers.
