The Changchun Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Changchun Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery, established in 1950, covers an area of nearly 84 hectares and is located in Yingjun Town, Erdao District, Changchun. It collectively interred 1,266 martyrs and is now one of the largest and most fully equipped martyrs' cemeteries in Jilin Province. It has been designated as a National Defense Education Demonstration Base, as well as a provincial and municipal patriotic education base, Party history education base, and national defense education base. It is also the venue for the annual Martyrs' Memorial Day commemorative ceremonies held at both the provincial and municipal levels. In recent years, the Changchun Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have invested over 100 million yuan to complete the construction of commemorative facilities such as the Martyrs Memorial Hall, Memorial Square, Monument, and Memorial Sculpture Group. The architectural design won the Architectural Achievement Award issued by the Architectural Society of China. The memorial hall has a construction area of 10,077.8 square meters and features four exhibition halls: Martyrs of Changchun in the Northeast Anti-Japanese War, Martyrs of Changchun in the Liberation War, Martyrs of Changchun in the Korean War, and Martyrs of Changchun in Peacetime, highlighting the heroic group of Changchun martyrs and their significant historical contributions. To fully leverage the educational function of the base, targeted patriotic and revolutionary tradition education activities are organized on key occasions such as Qingming Festival and Martyrs’ Memorial Day, involving party and government departments at all levels, various sectors of society, schools, and military units. A Patriotic Education Lecture Group has been established under the cemetery administration to carry out a series of “Five Entries, Five Lectures” activities, visiting schools, military units, communities, and neighborhoods to promote the spirit of the martyrs 56 times, thereby strengthening the patriotic sentiments of all sectors of society and creating a strong atmosphere for honoring the spirit of the martyrs.

Yingjun Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Erdao District, Changchun. It was known as Hongda District in 1949, became Yingjun Township in 1956, was reorganized as a commune in 1961, renamed Yingjun Commune in 1969, and reverted to township status in 1983. Located in the northwest part of the district, it covers an area of 73 square kilometers with a population of 54,000. The township government is based on Lingdong Road. The Changchun–Tumen Railway and the Changchun–Jilin Highway pass through the area.
