The city site is roughly square in shape, with a perimeter of 1,580 meters. The walls were built with rammed earth, and the layers are clearly visible. The soil layers alternate between black and yellow — the black earth layers are 2–3 cm thick, and the yellow earth layers are 4–5 cm thick. The remaining base of the city wall is about 9 meters wide, with a top width of 2 meters and a remaining height of 2–3 meters. The east wall is 390 meters long, the south wall 405 meters, the west wall 395 meters, and the north wall 390 meters. The east and north walls are relatively well preserved. The southern section of the west wall, 60 meters in length, has been damaged on the outer side, but the rest remains intact. Two sections of the south wall remain: one is 200 meters long, the other 120 meters. Each of the four corners of the city wall had a corner tower, though the southwest corner tower has been destroyed. According to local residents, there were gates on both sides of the south wall, but no traces remain today.
