Jilin Farmers' Collection Museum

The Jilin Farmers' Collection Museum is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The only farmers' collection museum in the three northeastern provinces of China has recently been established in Liujiamanzu Village, Qitamu Town, Jiutai City, Changchun, and has been officially named the “Jilin Farmers' Collection Museum.”

The museum houses a total of over 20,000 collections, all donated by Guan Yunde, a renowned Chinese farmer-collector and paper-cutting artist. The exhibits mainly consist of folk items, spanning from ancient times to the present, covering the farming culture, fishing and hunting culture, forest culture, and Shamanism culture of the Northeast. These collections are rich in local characteristics and cultural heritage. The museum covers an area of 10,000 square meters, with a building area of 2,200 square meters.

Given the museum’s rich collections, which hold certain educational value and research significance, Jilin Agricultural University has also established its “Teaching Practice Base” here. The university’s College of Humanities and the Jilin Farmers' Collection Museum jointly founded the “Jilin Farming Culture Research Center” to study the history, current status, and future development trends of Jilin’s farming culture. This collaboration promotes the advancement of agricultural cultural research between Jilin Agricultural University and the Qitamu Town government, facilitates the transition from traditional to modern and leisure agriculture, and enhances the cultural value of agriculture in Jilin Province.
