The Museum of Northeast Ethnic and Folk Culture at Northeast Normal University is situated on the south side of Century Square in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Changchun City. It is adjacent to the Changchun International Exhibition Center and Jingyue Lake National Forest Park. The museum occupies a site area of 31,000 square meters, with a building area of 22,000 square meters and an exhibition space of 13,000 square meters. It houses a collection of over 40,000 ethnic and folk cultural items. It is currently the largest comprehensive museum in China’s northeast region, showcasing the greatest number of ancient and modern ethnic groups in the northeast as well as the richest array of historical and contemporary folk customs. It serves as an educational venue for the public to learn about the region's ethnic and folk cultures and is also a key tourist attraction.

The museum features three permanent exhibition areas—Ancient Ethnic and Folk Culture of the Northeast, Modern and Contemporary Ethnic and Folk Culture of the Northeast, and Representative Trades and Workshops of the Northeast—as well as several special thematic exhibition zones. Each section employs traditional display methods such as physical objects, charts, text, sand tables, and scene reconstructions, along with modern technologies including electronic simulations and video composites, to present the folk customs of the northeast and the latest research findings.

Transportation: Within the city, you can take buses No. 167, 170, 102, 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 341, 342, 343, 345, 346, 347, 348, 349, 350, 160, etc., and get off at Century Square Station.
