The Jingyue Lake Reservoir Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

Known as the "Green Pearl," Jingyue Lake in Changchun, Jilin, is located in the southeastern part of the city, about 12 kilometers from downtown Changchun. It is often referred to as the "sister lake" of Taiwan's Sun Moon Lake. Covering an area of 200 square kilometers, it includes a water surface of 4.3 square kilometers, 80 square kilometers of scenic planted forests, and has a forest coverage rate of 58.6%, and is hailed as the "Largest Artificial Forest Sea in Asia."

Jingyue Lake gets its name from the crescent-shaped reservoir formed by damming, and is famous for its beautiful mountains and clear waters. It is an ecological tourism area dominated by mountains, forests, and water, characterized by its forest landscapes and winter activities, complemented by the natural scenery of the lake and surrounding hills, blending the culture and history of the Guandong region. The scenic area features lush green mountains and shimmering lake waters, creating ideal settings for spring outings, summer retreats, autumn foliage viewing, and winter snow play.

Jingyue Lake offers ever-changing scenery throughout the four seasons, captivating visitors year-round. It is an excellent destination for spring outings, summer escapes, autumn foliage appreciation, and winter ice-skating and skiing. The scenic area is divided into four zones: the Northern Hills by the Lake, the Southern Forest Sea, the Moonlit Lake Waters, and the Eastern Village Houses. The area is water-centric, with mountain villages adding charm, rich vegetation, vast forests, mountain flowers, medicinal plants, and is home to 82 species of vertebrates and over 60 species of birds.
