Yaji Reservoir

Yaji Reservoir is located on the upper reaches of the Yinma River, 1.5 kilometers west of Daomu Village in Jichang Town. It is a medium-sized comprehensive reservoir primarily used for flood control and irrigation, while also supporting diversified operations. Construction began in 1958, and after reinforcement in 1986, the total storage capacity reached 21.9 million cubic meters. The dam is 440 meters long, with a maximum height of 14 meters. The reservoir is surrounded by mountains on three sides, boasts lush forests, and offers pleasant scenery. For many years, it has focused on developing tourism. The restaurant can accommodate 300 diners at a time, mainly serving fish dishes. The locally produced black carp, paired with wild mountain vegetables and other all-natural green foods, is exceptionally flavorful. The guesthouse can host up to 200 guests for accommodation. Recreational facilities include two speedboats, four rowboats, and one mechanized boat that can carry 40 people for sightseeing on the water; there is also a square, basketball court, volleyball court, table tennis room, billiards room, karaoke dance hall, and two pavilions. The reservoir area’s two ponds are stocked with a variety of fish, specifically catering to fishing enthusiasts. In 2001, the Songyuan Villa with a construction area of 1,600 square meters was newly built in the reservoir area.
