The site is situated on an east-west oriented ridge at the junction between the southern part of Dayang Town in Dongfeng County and Shancheng Town in Meihekou City. It covers a relatively large area. In 1986, the provincial archaeological institute conducted large-scale excavations here. Major unearthed artifacts include iron agricultural tools, iron hammers, stone pouring vessels, pottery jars, pottery dou (a type of vessel), pottery bowls, and light gray pottery fragments with cord markings. Based on the characteristics of these artifacts, the site is believed to date from the late Spring and Autumn Period and the early Western Han Dynasty.

Dayang Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dongfeng County. Established as a district in 1949, upgraded to a township in 1956, changed to a commune in 1958, reinstated as a township in 1983, and upgraded to a town in 1984. Located in the southern part of the county, it covers an area of 174 square kilometers with a population of 20,000. The town government is located on Dayang Street. The Dongshan (Dongfeng–Shancheng) Highway passes through the town. It administers 13 village committees: Dayang, Sanli, Baoshan, Jinniu, Liujiazi, Fuhe, Hongqi, Jiti, Changle, Desheng, Tuanshan, Woniu, and Anle.
