The site is situated on a mountain ridge 500 meters west of Baoshan Village, Dayang Town, Dongfeng County. It covers a relatively large area, consisting of three small hilltop locations, with abundant surface artifacts scattered around. These mainly include various stone tools such as knives, axes, hoes, and sickles. Pottery items are predominantly jars, pots, and dou (bean-shaped vessels), with the lower rims of the pots often featuring punctate dot patterns. Based on the characteristics of these collected artifacts, this site is determined to date back to the Bronze Age.

Dayang Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dongfeng County. Established as a district in 1949, became a township in 1956, converted to a commune in 1958, reinstated as a township in 1983, and upgraded to a town in 1984. Located in the southern part of the county, it covers an area of 174 square kilometers with a population of 20,000. The town government is seated at Dayang Street. Dong (feng)–Shan (cheng) Highway passes through the town. It administers 13 village committees: Dayang, Sanli, Baoshan, Jinniu, Liujiazi, Fuhe, Hongqi, Jiti, Changle, Desheng, Tuanshan, Woniu, and Anle. Local enterprises include fan manufacturing, comprehensive processing, oil pressing, brick and tile factories, and quarries. The main agricultural products are corn, beans, and rice.
