The Bronze Short Sword Tomb in Zhengjiawazi is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

The Bronze Short Sword Tomb in Zhengjiawazi is located in Zhengjiawazi Village, Yangshi Township, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. In recent years, a series of tombs from the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods have been excavated here, unearthing a large number of precious cultural relics. As a result, Zhengjiawazi, once an obscure small village, has gained widespread fame. In 1958, 27 bronze artifacts, including bronze swords, were first unearthed to the north of Zhengjiawazi. In 1962 and 1965, near the site of the initial discovery, another bronze short sword and fourteen ancient tombs were found. One of the larger tombs measured 5 meters in length and 3 meters in width, yielding 797 items of 42 different types, including various bronze, pottery, stone, and bone objects. These included weapons, ornaments, daily utensils, horse decorations, and horse tack. Since the Shenyang area was once under the jurisdiction of the Yan State, the richness of the burial goods suggests that the tomb’s occupant was likely an official of the Yan State. To protect the Bronze Short Sword Tomb cluster in Zhengjiawazi, the government funded the construction of a brick-and-concrete shelter on-site in 1966, along with an exhibition hall. The hall is divided into two sections: the first displays a reconstructed layout of the large bronze short sword tomb, while the second showcases cultural relics of the bronze short sword culture type unearthed in the Shenyang area.
