Shenyang Fairy Lake Scenic Tourism Resort is located in Qiantangbao Town, Xinmin City, 45 kilometers west of downtown Shenyang. The resort features crystal-clear lake water, soaring kingfishers, sunlit lotus flowers, and vast reed marshes. 1. Six-Bend Bridge

Shenyang Fairy Lake boasts tens of thousands of acres of water surface, with a 500,000-square-meter central island in the lake. Connecting the lakeshore to the island is a 260-meter-long, 2-meter-wide wooden winding bridge. With six bends, three pavilions, and one arch, it is called the Six-Bend Bridge. Standing on the bridge, you can gaze into the distance at the thousand-acre lotus pond.

2. Lotus Pond

The fragrance of lotus wafts through the air, and with every breath, you’ll feel as though even the air you inhale is fragrant, allowing you to appreciate the poetic essence of “rain leaping over lotus, refreshing the spirit.” The lotus leaves are vast like umbrellas, and when a breeze passes, they ripple in layers of green. This is the lotus pond scene of Fairy Lake.

3. Reed Maze

Within the lake of Shenyang Fairy Lake, among the reeds on the eastern side of the island, lies a 300-meter-long reed maze. Here, you can feel the presence of Abing from "Erquan Yingyue," Su Wu, and his flock of sheep. In this place, you can enjoy the pure and unspoiled beauty all to yourself.

4. Guan Di Temple

Guan Di Temple is located at the center of the island in the lake. This temple is a restored version of the original Guan Di Temple from Zhangjingbaozi Village, built in the 28th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty. The temple houses statues of the deities Guan Di, the Earth God, and the Dragon King.

5. Buddhist Haven on the Lake

Shenyang Fairy Lake features Buddha statues and a Buddhist garden, where you can see “Sakyamuni,” the “Eighteen Arhats,” and the “Laughing Maitreya.” So, if you can reach a state of forgetting both favor and disgrace within the mysterious and transcendent smiles of the Buddhas—even for just a moment—then even without a “Buddha root” or achieving “enlightenment,” having a “Buddha heart” and being a good person is just as commendable.

6. Boat Dock

To fully enjoy Shenyang Fairy Lake, riding a speedboat or rowing a boat yourself is a must. The boat dock at Shenyang Fairy Lake Scenic Tourism Resort offers a variety of tourist boats. Only when you’re gliding across the lake can you truly understand what it means to be carefree and to transcend.

7. Fishing Area

The fishing area at Shenyang Fairy Lake is over 800 meters long and can accommodate up to 400 people fishing simultaneously. The lake is rich in natural wild fish, including carp, black carp, grass carp, snakehead, and silver carp. As you sit by the shore, focused on fishing, the beautiful surroundings, playful fish in the water, and drifting lotus fragrance will surely refresh your mind and make you linger without wanting to leave.

8. Shinan Calligraphy and Painting Garden

Shinan Calligraphy and Painting Garden is a cultural attraction that showcases the works of renowned artists and literati from Xinmin and beyond. Over 100 stone tablets have been engraved here for visitors to admire and appreciate.

9. Yongning Temple

Yongning Temple is located behind Guan Di Temple and houses Buddhist halls and divine pavilions, including altars for deities such as Emperor Yan, Emperor Huang, and Sakyamuni. It allows every visitor, aside from admiring exquisite carving art, to also experience a sense of national spirit and foreign culture, and to purify their soul.

Qiantangbao Town: Qiantangbao Town is located in the southern part of Xinmin City, 30 kilometers from the urban area. It borders Liaozhong County to the south. The town covers an area of 96 square kilometers, with 59,884 mu of arable land. It governs 12 administrative villages, 6,832 households, and a population of 24,000. It is the main oil extraction area of the Liaohe Oilfield.

Qiantangbao Town is bordered by the Pu River to the east and the Liao River to the west. The land here is fertile and rich in water resources, producing high-quality clear-water rice and abundant aquatic products such as fish, shrimp, crabs, and clams.
