There are only five species of mahogany in the world, among which Taiwan commonly has the small-leaf and large-leaf varieties. On the median strip between Section 2 and Section 3 of Shixian Road in Chiayi City, over a thousand large-leaf mahogany trees are planted. In spring and summer, a profusion of fallen leaves carpets the sidewalk, resembling a romantic floral path, while the several-hundred-meter-long, depth-filled road has become an alternative photography spot for enthusiasts.

From the intersection of Section 2 of Shixian Road and Beigang Road to the intersection of Section 3 of Shixian Road and Xinmin Road, the median strips on both the inner and outer sides of the fast and slow lanes are planted with about 1,400 mahogany trees. Around April each year, a large number of yellowing fallen leaves cover the pathways, creating a scene reminiscent of a beautiful autumn landscape.
