Happy Square

Happy Square commenced construction on August 20, 2011, and was officially put into use in June 2014. It covers a total area of 60,629 square meters, including 32,000 square meters of paved surfaces, 13,000 square meters of green space, and 15,629 square meters of building area, with a total investment of 260 million yuan.

The Faku County National Fitness Center is located on the east side of Happy Square, covering an area of 6,022 square meters. It houses a tennis hall, basketball hall, badminton hall, table tennis hall, and fitness center. The Faku County Mass Cultural Activity Center is situated on the west side of Happy Square and consists of the Shengshan Library, Lingshui Cultural Center, Baihe Grand Theater, TV station, Children's Palace, and Women and Children’s Club, with a total floor area of 23,611 square meters.

Happy Square is a comprehensive service venue integrating cultural leisure, public entertainment, national fitness, and various training and competition activities. Its completion is a major joyful event in the lives of the people of Faku and a tangible project that benefits the public. It has enhanced the quality and service level of Faku’s public cultural and sports facilities, further meeting the cultural and fitness needs of both urban and rural residents, and stands as a milestone in the cultural and sports history of Faku County.

Happy Square was named by Comrade Feng Quanquan, then Secretary of the Faku County Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Chinese name was inscribed by Mr. Li Shangzhe, a member of the Beijing Branch of the China Artists Association and Executive Director of the Jixian Research Association of the China Correspondence University of Fine Arts, while the English name was inscribed by Mr. Ray Fraili, a professional American artist. The names of all venues within the square were inscribed by renowned calligraphers from across the country.
