Lingshan Lake Scenic Area

Lingshan Lake Scenic Area is situated at the border between Faku County and Diaobingshan City, 10 kilometers from Faku City. It is positioned on the southern edge of Provincial Highway Changfa, to the west of Xinli Road, and to the east of Shenyang-Kangping Expressway, 98 kilometers away from Shenyang. The area spans 4.5 million square meters and consists of three sections: the lake area, Shijing Mountain, and Yuting’s Tomb. Here, you’ll find wonders shaped by heaven and mysteries rooted in history. The lake covers 3 million square meters with crystal-clear waters, gently sloping and expansive shores. Both the northern and southern banks boast soft sandy beaches, suitable water depths, and make for ideal summer bathing spots. Surrounded by rolling hills, the landscape features uniquely shaped rocky cliffs formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. Shenlong Island nestles amid the vast blue waters, shaded by lush trees. On the western shore of the lake, Guila Mountain, an ancient rocky peak, is home to a memorial iron tower commemorating the production of 10 million tons of coal by the Tiefa Mining Bureau. At the foot of Shijing Mountain lies SheShanGou Village, the hometown of Yang Yuting, a senior general of the Fengtian Clique warlords and an official of the Republic of China. South of SheShanGou Village, during the Tang Dynasty, Xue Rengui fought fiercely against Goguryeo’s Marshal Gao Guangping (Gaesomun) while leading a campaign to the east. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Yue Fei’s second son, Yue Lei, camped his troops here during his northern campaign. In the Song era, Jin Dynasty Marshal Wushu once mobilized troops here. Major attractions include Golden Turtle Presenting a Child, Dragon Spitting Heavenly Nectar, Heaven’s Crack, Squeezing Slab Rock, and Forest Bathing Grounds.

Lingshan Lake Scenic Area offers eco-friendly tourism resources and enjoys excellent geographical advantages. With Shenyang at its core, the 100-kilometer radius encompasses a consumer population of 20 million, including 18 million urban residents. Within a 200-kilometer range, it reaches Jilin, Heilongjiang, Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, covering a consumer base of over 100 million. The development of tourism resources here meets the demand for leisure and vacation, presenting broad market prospects.
