Faku Ceramic Cultural and Creative Center

The Faku Ceramic Cultural and Creative Center is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Shenyang Faku Ceramic Cultural and Creative Center is located in the Faku Economic Development Zone of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, which is known as the "China Ceramics Valley." It lies over 70 kilometers from the city center of Shenyang and about 5 kilometers from the urban area of Faku County. Construction began in June 2012, and it was put into use in May 2013. It is a ceramic art industry base that integrates the creation, design, exhibition, production, sales, training, and services of artistic ceramics, primarily featuring the creative works of domestic and international ceramic arts and crafts masters. The project covers an area of 34,611 square meters, with a total investment of 60 million yuan and a total construction area of 28,200 square meters. It is divided into two parts: the Creative Exhibition Hall and the Standard Factory Buildings. The Creative Exhibition Hall occupies 10,400 square meters and features a seven-story main structure. The first floor is the information service area; the second and third floors are the artistic ceramic exhibition area and business negotiation area; the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors are studios for master artists, providing preferential and comfortable creative spaces for both domestic and international arts and crafts masters who have settled in. Masters such as Mr. Philip Read from the United States, Ms. Ho Shin Ying from Hong Kong, and Mr. Li Shangzhe, a Chinese ceramic arts and crafts master, have already moved in. Meanwhile, renowned masters from the Netherlands (Delft), the UK (Stoke-on-Trent), Japan (Okura Pottery Garden), and the LuXun Academy of Fine Arts (LUFA) are also under consideration. The Standard Factory Buildings cover 17,800 square meters with a two-story main structure and complete facilities, serving as the production area for artistic ceramic products. Enterprises such as Taiwan’s Xinyongde Ceramic Knife Project, Liaojinyuan Daily-use Porcelain Project, and Shenyang Hongmeng Artwork Processing Project have already settled in. Relying on the advantages of the ceramic industry, the Shenyang Faku Ceramic Cultural and Creative Center integrates culture into the ceramic industry to build a ceramic cultural and creative brand. It is one of the most promising emerging industries in Faku’s economic development. In the near future, it will develop into a well-rounded market bustling with master artisans, rich in artistic atmosphere, and full of business opportunities, attracting a large number of elite domestic and international ceramic artists to create within the park, and becoming a high-level base for the creation, production, and sale of artistic ceramics.
