Shenyang Glacier Animal Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Shenyang Glacier Animal Park — a brand-new theme park where humans and animals enjoy themselves together. It is a national first-class urban forest wildlife park approved by the National Forestry Administration and the Ministry of Construction. Located within the Shenyang Qipanshan Forest Wildlife Park, it covers an area of 2.4 million square meters (3,600 acres) and opened in December 2000. It was newly built after relocating from the former Shenyang Zoo and is a key tourism project of Shenyang City.

The project was designed by Japan’s Seto Inland Scenic Garden Co., Ltd.’s landscape division, Seito. The park consists of a drive-through wildlife safari area, a walk-through enclosure area, and a zoo amusement park.

The drive-through wildlife safari area spans 1.5 million square meters and includes Tiger Mountain, Bear Hollow, Wolf Valley, Asian Animal Grassland, African Animal Grassland, and Waterfowl Lake. Visitors can observe wildlife by taking a bus tour or by driving their own vehicles to experience thrilling moments such as being chased by fierce beasts or escaping a tiger’s jaws.

The walk-through enclosure area covers 450,000 square meters and showcases rare wild animals including giant pandas, white tigers, Asian elephants, rhinoceroses, polar bears, penguins, seals, sea lions, sharks, leopards, macaques, red pandas, kangaroos, chimpanzees, black swans, and groups of red-crowned cranes, all up close. The large animal performance venue also offers exciting shows featuring lion-tiger fire hoop jumps, bear swings, sheep stepping on vases, and monkey rope jumping.

The Glacier Amusement Park will fully satisfy visitors’ desire to “play.” Thrilling rides such as the Crazy Roller Coaster, Family Roller Coaster, Space Chair, Rainbow Flying Carpet, Tilt-A-Whirl, Bull Riding, Bumper Cars, and Baby Carousel are all the latest American amusement park attractions, ensuring visitors leave with unforgettable memories.
