Qipanshan Ice and Snow World

Shenyang Qipanshan Grand World is located in the Qipanshan Scenic Area in the northeast of Shenyang, 17 kilometers from the city center, with very convenient transportation. The Ice and Snow World features dense forests, undulating mountains, and vast ice surfaces, covering an area of 500,000 square meters. Every winter, it is often filled with dancing snowflakes and a world blanketed in white, presenting a breathtaking scene of northern China. The daytime winter temperature usually ranges between -5°C and -15°C all year round, making it an ideal winter tourist destination that combines travel, sightseeing, sports, entertainment, leisure, and vacation.

Since its launch in 1994, Qipanshan Ice and Snow World has undergone eight years of development and construction, and has now become a large-scale ice and snow tourism resort in Northeast China with abundant activities and complete facilities. To meet the needs of visitors, the Ice and Snow World has launched over 30 activity programs characterized by sports, entertainment, thrill, and excitement. The ice and snow activities are divided into two zones: the southern zone is the alpine skiing area, which includes 1,000-meter, 800-meter, and 600-meter-long alpine ski slopes, as well as a 500-meter-long ski practice slope and a 200-meter-long children’s ski practice slope. It also offers two chairlift-style ski ropeways, a 1,016-meter-long alpine pipe-track slide, and trendy attractions such as the Time-Space Carousel and snow tubing, all of which provide you with a high-level experience and joy, along with considerate and enthusiastic service. The skiing area also has two large ski equipment storage warehouses, each with a floor area of 2,000 square meters, where the indoor facilities include ski rental, souvenir shops, baggage storage, and a medical clinic.

The northern zone utilizes the scenic Xiuhu Lake ice surface to feature a 400-meter-long international-standard circular ice-skating rink, a children’s amusement park, a horse ranch, a camel park, horse-drawn sleds, monkey-drawn sleds, sheep-drawn sleds, dog-drawn sleds, as well as activities such as spinning ice tops, ice sculptures, mountain climbing, and tug-of-war competitions. There are also snowmobiles of different classes, children’s snow motorcycles, go-karts, various racing vehicles, snowplanes with powered parachutes, multiple ice and snow slides, a fireworks area, and a restaurant and entertainment zone featuring unique Mongolian grid designs.
