Pear Blossom Paradise is located in Yangmadianzi Township, a traditional hub of pear and fruit cultivation, adjacent to the Daqing Mountain Scenic Area and Gallery Valley Scenic Area. Centered around tens of thousands of acres of pear orchards and supplemented by greenhouse fruit picking, it is an ecological tourism zone anchored by the Buddhist landscape of Pudu Temple and the natural scenery of Zaomugou. “In spring, stroll through seas of blooming flowers—a scene as picturesque as a dream. In autumn, savor pears and other fruits—refreshing and invigorating for both body and mind.” The high-quality fruits are renowned far and wide, earning the area the title “Pear Township,” a distinction it has held for over 300 years. It has even been praised by provincial leaders as the “World’s Number One Pear.” In recent years, building on its foundations, Yangmadianzi Township has successively developed five orchards spanning ten thousand acres each and two pear orchards covering a thousand acres each, encompassing seven administrative villages and benefiting over 3,000 farming households—accounting for more than 70% of the township’s total households. The number of fruit trees has grown from 700,000 in 2000 to 1.5 million today, with an annual fruit yield reaching 50,000 tons. The pears from this region were exported to Singapore and Southeast Asia as early as the 1950s, becoming a pillar industry for farmers’ income growth and prosperity.

Here, endless forests of jade-like trees bloom with crimson flowers like rosy clouds and white blossoms like snow, filling the air with fragrance while butterflies and bees flit about, enchanting all who visit. In spring, thousands of pear trees burst into bloom, transforming the landscape into a world and ocean of flowers. In autumn, branches sag heavy with fruit, creating pear-covered mountains and pear empires. Pear trees are not only cash crops for local farmers but also a splendid destination for visitors to admire blossoms, foliage, and fruit. In May, the Pear Township is blanketed in contiguous pear blossoms, as pure as freshly fallen snow or wispy mist. Strolling through the blooms or lingering beneath ancient pear trees gives one a feeling of floating on air. Zaomugou is home to nearly a thousand old pear trees over 300 years old, and more than 30 that have stood for over 500 years. The unique soil nurtures distinctive fruits—fragrant pears, An pears, and white pears—all celebrated for their exceptional color, aroma, and taste. The An pears here are believed to improve blood circulation, lower blood pressure, and treat asthma, earning them the nickname “Immortal Pears.” The Dadonggou Village boasts nearly a thousand pear trees over 100 years old, with the oldest exceeding 500 years, hence the name “Peach Orchard of Longevity.” Just as the heavens host a grand feast of peaches, Jianchang holds a heavenly banquet of immortal pears.
