Benxi Tianlong Cave is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Tianlong Cave Scenic Area is located in Xiangmo Village, Xiaoshi Town, Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, and is a national AA-level tourist attraction. According to geological experts, Tianlong Cave is the source of Benxi Water Cave. A six-kilometer-long underground river connects the two caves end to end, creating unique geological formations, landscapes, and natural wonders. Tianlong Cave and Benxi Water Cave are only eight kilometers apart, complementing each other like distant echoes, and are known as the “Brother Caves of the North.” Tianlong Mountain, where Tianlong Cave is situated, has eight discovered cave entrances, forming a rare ancient karst cave system. Currently, Tianlong Cave and Ice Cave have been developed for tourism. Tianlong Cave extends over a thousand meters, with three levels interconnected, featuring winding paths, hanging stalactites, and forests of stone pillars. Within the cave are two wonders and three treasures, including the “World’s Largest Flattened Stone,” “Dragon and Phoenix in Harmony,” “Bat Guano Mountain,” “Stalactite Tree Rings,” and “Dragon Robe,” all of which are particularly fascinating natural sights. The entire scenic area consists of four parts: Manchu folk culture tours, thrilling adventures in the Dragon Cave, rock climbing fun on Longshan Mountain, and water activities at the riverside Banzhou area.

Tianlong Cave is the first Manchu folk culture village named by the Benxi Municipal Committee for Ethnic Affairs. It is also designated as an off-campus education base for youths by the Benxi Youth League Committee and the Youth Education Office. Rich in Manchu cultural heritage, visitors can experience the “Three Oddities of the Northeast”—“window paper pasted outside, babies hung to sleep, and young girls smoking pipes”—in traditional farmhouses, as well as see the “Three Treasures of the Northeast”—ginseng, mink fur, and reed mats. Additionally, guests can savor distinctive Manchu farmhouse cuisine for a memorable culinary experience. New attractions outside Tianlong Cave include “Sky Crossing,” “Longshan Grass Sliding,” and “Moon River Fish BBQ,” offering thrilling yet safe fun.

Located in Liaodong, a prime tourist destination, Tianlong Cave is surrounded by major national scenic spots: Benxi Water Cave to the west, Guanmenshan and Tangou to the south, and Tieshashan to the east. With well-developed transportation and convenient travel routes, it truly is a “blessed cave heaven.” Since opening, the scenic area has welcomed over 100,000 visitors from Germany, Japan, South Korea, and various parts of China, gradually becoming a shining gem on Benxi’s golden tourism route.

Xiaoshi Town: Xiaoshi Town is located in the central part of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, at 124°6′ east longitude and 41°17′ north latitude. It administers 20 villages: Xiangmo, Zhangjiabao, Xiaoshi, Guanyinge, Shangbao, Xiabao, Chenggou, Daguanzhai, Xiejiawei, Tongjiangyu, Qingshilin, Youzhai, Chenying, Dongjie, Jiucaiyu, Jianchangbao, Moshiyu, Guizishi, Shanchengzi, and Pubao.
