Benxi Museum

Benxi Museum is located in Tangou, Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, covering an area of nearly 3,500 square meters. It comprises three branches: the Benxi Cave Culture Exhibition Hall, the Yang Jingyu Memorial Hall, and the Nanfen Mass Grave Bone Exhibition Hall. Its permanent exhibition, "Benxi Historical Exhibition," is a general regional history display that systematically showcases unearthed cultural relics from the Paleolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the Benxi region. Among them, the Paleolithic site of Miaoheshan culture and the Goguryeo culture from the Han and Tang periods demonstrate distinct local characteristics. The Benxi Cave Culture Exhibition Hall is situated near Benxi Water Cave, a national scenic area, and covers an area of 220 square meters, displaying cave cultures from two different historical periods along the upper reaches of the Taizi River in Benxi.
