Iron-Cutter Mountain Stone Carvings

The Iron-Cutter Mountain Stone Carvings are a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

The abundance of cliff carvings on Jiuding Iron-Cutter Mountain leaves a deep impression. According to the *Supplementary Chronicles of Jiuding Iron-Cutter Mountain*, there are a total of 54 carvings. Most are concentrated below Yuanshi Peak, the central peak, arranged from top to bottom as follows: Tianqiao Cave, Yunguang Cave, Qiankun Cave, Riguang Cave, and Fengyue Cave. Each cave entrance is inscribed with a name. The most famous include the “Jiuding Iron-Cutter Mountain Eight Treasures Yunguang Cave,” “Three Thousand Years of Iron-Cutter,” cliff carvings such as “Immortal with Heaven,” and the “Qiankun Righteous Qi” stone inscriptions.

Protected Area: Includes all peaks above the contour line where the “Dragon Head” and “Phoenix Tail” stone carvings at the foot of the mountain are located.

Construction Control Zone: A secondary construction control zone within 25 meters below the protected area.
