National Day holiday: Discount guide for 13 amusement parks ! More cost-effective with public transport

October 10th National Day holiday: To encourage the public to travel by public transport, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation has joined forces with 13 theme park operators across Taiwan and various local public transport providers to jointly launch special offers such as discounted or partial entry ticket refunds when entering parks via public transport. Let’s take a look at how you can enjoy a fun and budget-friendly trip !

1. Ocean World in Yehliu
(1) Free entry for October birthdays : October birthday celebrants can enter the park for free from October 5th to 12th by presenting their ID card or relevant proof.
(2) Public transport discount : Show the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Crown North Coast Line DM to receive various dining discounts.

2. Little World Theme Park
(1) Celebrating Double Ten with everyone : In addition to a nationwide half-price ticket offer of NT$399 (original price NT$799, about 50% off), Little World is also offering a special “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” deal for those who purchase tickets on-site during the Double Ten holiday and designated holidays—October 3rd (Sat), 4th (Sun), 9th (Fri), 10th (Sat), and 11th (Sun), for a total of 5 days.
(2) Public transport discount :
1. Taiwan United Bus Taipei City round-trip discount package : Single entry ticket + Taipei City round-trip bus ticket, special price NT$625 (original price NT$1,025, about 61% off).
2. Taiwan United Bus New Taipei City round-trip discount package : Single entry ticket + New Taipei City round-trip bus ticket, special price NT$571 (original price NT$971, about 59% off)
3. Hsinchu Bus discount : During the Double Ten holiday (October 9th–11th), show your bus ticket to Little World to purchase an entry ticket for a special price of NT$359 (original price NT$799, about 45% off). The arrival station on the ticket must be Little World, and each ticket allows the purchase of one discounted admission.

3. Leofoo Village Theme Park
(1) During the Double Ten holiday (2015/10/9–10/11), if your name contains the character “一” [yi] or “零” [ling] (or homophones with the same pronunciation), you can enter Leofoo Village for just NT$100 (original price NT$999, about 1% off).
(2) On weekend holidays in October, show proof of a specified zodiac sign or costume to enjoy a discounted entry price of NT$599 (original price NT$999, about 60% off). The zodiac sign for October is the Rooster. For more details, please check the Leofoo Village official website or fan page.
(3) Public transport discount :
1. Hsinchu Bus : During the Double Ten holiday (October 9th–11th), show your Hsinchu Bus direct-to-Leofoo Village ticket to enjoy a discounted price of NT$599 (original price NT$999, about 60% off, one bus ticket stub allows the purchase of one discounted ticket, valid only on the day of use, expired tickets not accepted).
2. Taiwan United Bus : During the Double Ten holiday (October 9th–11th), the Taiwan United Bus discount package is NT$880 (includes Taipei–Leofoo Village round-trip bus ticket and one Leofoo Village theme park entry ticket) (original price NT$1,253, about 70% off).

4. West Lake Resort
(1) In October, birthday celebrants can purchase a discounted ticket for NT$200 (about 50% off) upon presentation of valid ID, and up to four accompanying family members or friends can purchase discounted tickets for NT$300 each (about 75% off) (Note: full price is NT$399).
(2) Public transport discount :
1. To encourage the use of public transport, we’ve partnered with Fengyuan Bus. You can take a direct Fengyuan Bus from Taipei or Fengyuan to West Lake Resort.
2. Show your bus ticket stub to purchase a discounted entry ticket for NT$300.
3. Stay overnight using your same-day bus ticket stub to enjoy a discount on accommodation fees based on weekday/weekend rates and the number of guests, using the stub’s fare as credit.
4. Purchase a ticket to Taipei at the West Lake Resort counter for a discounted price between NT$220 and NT$270 (full price is NT$280). Discounted pricing is based on Fengyuan Bus posted schedules.

5. Lihpao Land
(1) Lihpao Land Double Ten National Day Event
1. From 10/9 to 11, visitors wearing classic blue-and-white or red-and-white slippers can enjoy the Explorer Land full-price ticket at a promotional price of 399 NTD (original price 800 NTD, approximately 50% off).
2. From 10/9 to 11, the afternoon ticket for Marlboro Bay is 399 NTD (original price 500 NTD).
(2) From 9/23 to 10/22, Libra zodiac sign gets 50% off at 325 NTD (original price 800 NTD).
(3) From 10/23 to 11/22, Scorpio zodiac sign gets 50% off at 325 NTD (original price 800 NTD).
(An ID document must be presented when purchasing tickets, and entry must be before 12:00 on the day of the event)
(4) Public transport discounts:
The following are individual package tickets (including round-trip transportation + theme park admission)
1. Taipei Beijing Station – Theme Park via Tonglian Bus for 999 NTD.
2. Zhonggang Transfer Station – Lihpao Land via Tonglian Bus Route 155 for 599 NTD.

6. Dongshi Forest Recreation Area
(1) On 10/9, 10, and 11, those born in October can enter for free upon showing their ID or driver’s license, and exchange for one handmade soap at the Folk Culture Park.
(2) Public transport discount:
Visitors entering via Fengyuan Bus Route 209 can purchase a discounted ticket for 160 NTD (original price 250 NTD, approximately 64% off).

7. Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
(1) Birthday celebrants on Double Ten Day can enter for free on that day.
(2) During the three-day holiday from 10/9 to 11, show a coupon printed or downloaded from the official Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village website to purchase a discounted ticket for 580 NTD (original price 780 NTD, approximately 74% off), and receive unlimited rides on the Sun Moon Lake Gondola on the day of your visit.
(3) Public transport discount:
With a Renyou Bus ticket stub, you can purchase group tickets.

8. Shanlinxi Forest Eco-Resort
(1) Public transport discount:
1. Before 12/31/2014, when taking Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, present the package ticket coupon to enjoy 50% off regular weekday accommodation rates and 20% off regular weekend rates (not applicable for the entire months of April, July, and August).
2. Regardless of weekday or weekend, taking public transport (Yuanlin Bus, Taichung Bus, or Shanlinxi Bus) to Shanlinxi allows you to purchase an entrance ticket for 200 NTD (original price 300 NTD, approximately 67% off).

Visitors whose name includes any one of the characters in the title can enter for free with proof (must be accompanied by one person purchasing a NT$799 ticket).

(1) During the Double Ten holiday from October 9–11, visitors whose name includes any of the characters “國” (nation), “慶” (celebration), or “日” (day) can enjoy free admission with valid ID. (Not applicable for groups)
(2) Jiangnan 12th Anniversary “Buy One, Get One Free” Weekday Stay Promotion: Guests staying on weekdays in October can enjoy a free second day. (Both the first and additional nights must be weekdays. The first night’s rate will be 10% above the base price. Not applicable for groups.)
(3) Take a photo at Jiangnan Resort during the Double Ten holiday to receive a mysterious small gift. Limit one per person.
(4) Public Transport Discount:
Guests who use the Taiwan Fun Pass “Guanziling Wushantou Line” package to arrive at Jiangnan Resort before 105/6/30 can enjoy the following benefits with their ticket stub:
1. NT$100 off park admission (original price NT$150, approx. 33% discount).
2. No service charge on food and beverages.

12. Yuan Ze Ocean Park
(1) Teachers’ Day Special: NT$390 (Original price NT$890, approx. 56% discount).
Event Period: September 15 – October 15, 2015
Event Details: Present a valid teaching or retired teacher certificate from public or private schools in Taiwan to enjoy NT$390 admission for yourself and one accompanying guest (limit one). This offer requires on-site ticket purchase and cannot be combined with other promotions.
(2) Public Transport Discounts:
Passengers traveling to Farglory Ocean Park by Hualien Bus can present their bus ticket stub and Farglory Ocean Park ticket at ticket booths 4 or 5 to exchange for one NT$50 cash voucher. This offer does not apply to group charter services (valid until 2015/12/31).
