Girl power unleashed: Seoul’s Hello Kitty-themed café

Have you been to this Hello Kitty Café in Hongdae? I’ve visited the one in Samcheong-dong before, which I also introduced (though it moved once), but this is their newest location now. I think it’s even prettier than before, with more spacious interiors and a little courtyard—so lovely. I believe even those who aren’t huge fans of pink Hello Kitty can easily get swept up in the charm. Like us that day—we weren’t initially very interested in coming in, but we ended up taking tons of photos and browsing the merchandise, having a blast. It was totally unexpected.

The moment you see pink, Hello Kitty is the first thing that comes to mind—no other icon comes close.

The new location is gorgeous, and the courtyard has a full-on Japanese aesthetic.

The shop space is “huge.”

There are photo ops everywhere.

We found so many spots to snap pictures even before stepping inside, just in the outdoor area.

Finally, we managed to focus and got around to ordering some drinks.

But the moment we walked in, we were distracted again by all the adorable photo spots (and forgot about the drinks—cough cough).

After finally gathering everyone to place drink and cake orders, we all scattered again to take more pictures (once you’re inside, it’s hard to stay in control).

The drinks aren’t expensive, plus they’re cute—definitely worth ordering.

We picked the pink velvet armchairs to sit on.

Each seating area is a little different.

The overall interior design is really thoughtfully done—every corner has its own charm, nothing feels haphazard.

This is basically a princess photo zone.

The first floor has a whole section dedicated to official merchandise.

So overwhelming—it’s a total money-draining paradise.

They really have every kind of product imaginable.

I couldn’t find this item when I was in Japan, but turns out Korea has it.

And the merchandise is so tempting—I actually felt the urge to buy something (I swear, any girl would).

More different styles of sofas (this place is seriously film-consuming—luckily everything’s digital now, haha).

There are seats on the second floor too.

There’s even a bed.

I’m pretty sure you can actually lie down on it for photos.

After taking tons of photos, we finally ordered food and went back to our seats to wait.

Each person got a drink and a slice of cake.

Not latte art, but still super cute—here’s the non-latte-art拿铁咖啡～～

It looks cute, but there seems to be a lot of whipped cream—I was a bit scared at first!

But actually, it’s pretty delicious!
