Ride on the Tsing Ma Bridge and gaze at Hong Kong – The first “Hong Kong Cycling Festival” kicks off

Organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the first “Hong Kong Cycling Festival” kicked off a two-day event of races and cycling activities from the 10th, attracting hundreds of cycling enthusiasts and thousands of local citizens to join in the fun.

The first Hong Kong Cycling Festival featured a variety of cycling challenges this year, including a 35-kilometer challenge group, a 10-kilometer leisure group, as well as cycling fun for children, teenagers, and families. Hundreds of riders set off from Tsim Sha Tsui, racing along the roads, passing by Hong Kong’s tallest building, the International Commerce Centre, and the Stonecutters Bridge. The city’s iconic structure, the Tsing Ma Bridge, was opened to cyclists for the first time, allowing riders to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Hong Kong while pedaling.

In addition to the cycling challenges, a cycling carnival was also held at the Tsim Sha Tsui Cultural Centre Plaza, featuring food stalls, games, and cycling gear booths. Aside from promoting cycling, the event also supported charity efforts aimed at helping more children and youth in Hong Kong.
