The super adorable Hello Kitty has long conquered the world, winning over countless hearts. Her licensed merchandise can be spotted everywhere globally, and the recent Hello Kitty-themed fast food items were incredibly popular. For Kitty fans, many of their belongings already feature Hello Kitty, but being immersed in her pink world takes the experience to a whole new level of happiness. For instance, when Hello Kitty Shabu-Shabu opened recently, it attracted a huge crowd of fans eager to pay homage.

As a die-hard Hello Kitty fan, you should know that there are currently only four officially licensed Hello Kitty locations in Taiwan by Sanrio: Hello Kitty Kitchen And Dining, Red Sakura Hello Kitty Taiwanese Souvenirs & Kitty Ice Cream Parlor, Hello Kitty Bubble, and Hello Kitty Shabu-Shabu.

Hello Kitty Kitchen And Dining opened in 2008, originally as Hello Kitty Sweets. Its interior is filled with dreamy pink tones—Hello Kitty can be seen everywhere, from the walls and furniture to the menus, lighting, food, and even the restrooms. It’s an absolute must-visit for any Hello Kitty enthusiast. There’s also a branch in Nanhua Dream Mall in Tainan.

Red Sakura Hello Kitty Taiwanese Souvenirs & Kitty Ice Cream Parlor
As the name suggests, Red Sakura Hello Kitty Taiwanese Souvenirs is a store that combines nostalgic vibes with authentic and delicious Taiwanese souvenirs. The shop sign exudes a strong retro feel, and at the entrance, you’ll find a large Kitty mascot dressed in Taiwanese-style “red-and-white slippers” and retro striped “qiaozhi bags.” In addition to the Tamsui branch, there’s also an outlet in the Eastern District, which includes an ice cream parlor called “Kitty Ice Cream Parlor.” The grandma-era restaurant cabinets and tables give off a vibe straight out of the 1970s.

Hello Kitty Bubble is a bubble tea shop and the first of its kind in Taiwan. It’s located behind the Ren’ai Branch of Taipei City Hospital and primarily operates as a takeaway store. Not only is the interior decor full of Hello Kitty designs, but even the drink cups are. The menu includes teas, slushies, milk teas, lattes, classic specials, and sodas.

Hello Kitty Shabu-Shabu is Taiwan’s first officially licensed Hello Kitty-themed hot pot restaurant. The large Kitty mascot greeting guests at the entrance wears not a bow, but a camellia — a flower specially designed by Sanrio Taiwan for the world’s first HELLO KITTY Japanese-style hot pot. The motif appears throughout the restaurant, reflecting HELLO KITTY’s subtle, elegant, refined, yet still adorable personality.

To ensure HELLO KITTY fills every corner of the restaurant, the decor and tableware all follow the HELLO KITTY theme. Even the menu is shaped like HELLO KITTY, allowing fans to spot her everywhere. Menu highlights include the hot pot with a bow-shaped lid, HELLO KITTY cheese / mentaiko (spicy cod roe), red shrimp and sakura shrimp squid balls, bow-shaped squid balls, HELLO KITTY pumpkin, HELLO KITTY tofu, and HELLO KITTY fukubukuro (lucky bag). Even the steamed rice comes in a HELLO KITTY design.
