A netizen posted on a community forum’s gossip board on the 12th, stating that they worked at Taipei Sheraton but experienced...Employees were overworked without overtime pay, had fake clock-in records created, and were victims of salary fraud.The full post reads:

“This time, the client requested the hotel to provide three personal butlers to take care of all the living arrangements of foreign guests during the visit of the Vice Premier, Foreign Minister, and Ambassador of a diplomatic ally country. The salary was not stated as under a responsibility system, and the three butlers were required to be on standby at the hotel for 120 hours over five days.The department supervisor asked us to find our own time to clock in and out normally at the clocking room, but our clock-in records did not mean we were actually off duty. In reality, we were on standby inside the hotel 24 hours a day. Even when we were resting in our rooms, we couldn’t leave the hotel too far because we could be called back at any time to handle guest matters.”
