Laughter + Food Fun: "Wulongyuan Comic Theme Plaza" Debuts at Hualien Railway Station

Now you can enjoy not only the Jimmy Liao Square at Yilan Railway Station, but also"Wulongyuan Comic Theme Plaza", which will open on October 17th at 10:00 AM. The event will include exciting performances, a treasure hunt, and a variety of prizes such as tablets.

Hualien County Magistrate Fu Kun-chi stated that the "Wulongyuan Comic Theme Plaza," personally supervised by cartoonist Ao Youxiang, incorporates Hualien’s local specialties, agricultural products, and diverse cultural elements. Designed to complement the terrain and landscape of the station square, it features public art themed around the Wulongyuan comics.

The Wulongyuan-themed plaza features different themes for the front and back stations. The front station focuses on "Laughter," with amusing scenes from the comics bringing joy to visitors, while the auspicious and humorous "Joyful Twin Dragons Protecting Hualien’s Beauty" symbolize the seven treasures of Hualien: "good mountains, good water, good people, good hearts, good tea, good rice, and good wine."

The back station is themed around "Food," with 13 adorable mascots—12 zodiac animals plus a cat—promoting the unique local cuisines of Hualien’s 13 townships and districts.
