The beech trees on Mount Taiping are donning their autumn coats – green leaves turning golden, a beauty that looks like a poem.

Each season in Taiwan brings its own floral display. After October every year, the Taiwan beech trees in the Taiping Mountain National Forest Recreation Area are at their most stunning all year round. The park boasts around 1,100 hectares of pristine beech forest, the largest such area in Taiwan. Beech trees are glacial relict plants, typically found at elevations of 1,600 to 1,800 meters. As the colors of the mountains change day by day, the Taiwan beech trees don their autumn attire – green leaves turning golden, a sight both beautiful and poetic. Every year, this attracts large numbers of visitors to the mountains to admire the fall foliage.

The Cui Feng Scenic Road in the Taiping Mountain National Forest Recreation Area is 16.5 kilometers long and about 5 meters wide, serving as the main route to the Taiwan beech tree trail in the recreation area. Since Cui Feng Lake is an ecological conservation area and also a mountain control zone, and considering the heavy traffic and congestion on the Cui Feng Scenic Road during the peak season of the Taiwan beech tree trail last year,this year, from October 17 to November 15, dynamic overall vehicle control will be implemented every Saturday and Sunday, all day, at the entrance of the Cui Feng Scenic Road, limiting the number of small vehicles to 200.。

Once the number of vehicles entering the controlled area reaches 200, except for the scheduled nine-seater shuttle buses and official vehicles, no other vehicles will be allowed to enter the area. When the number of vehicles entering the controlled area reaches 150, information will be announced via the highway system’s variable message signs (electronic billboards) and broadcast on police radio to remind visitors. Travelers are advised to pay close attention to road condition updates to avoid congested routes and times.

In coordination with the dynamic overall vehicle control measures,shuttle services for nine-seater passenger cars will also be provided on a scheduled basis between 8:30 and 16:00 to transport visitors along the Cui Feng Scenic Road.The official fare for the shuttle service isNT$350 per person (round trip).。
