Singapore Airlines' New A350 Aircraft Makes Its Debut – Amsterdam Route to Be Served Starting April Next Year

Singapore Airlines announced that its latest generation Airbus A350-900 aircraft will make Amsterdam its first destination, with flights between Singapore and Amsterdam to be operated by the A350 starting in April 2016.

Singapore Airlines stated that the first A350 is expected to be delivered in January 2016. Before officially operating the Amsterdam route, it will operate some irregular flights to Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur for the purpose of crew training. More destinations to be served by the A350 will also be announced in the future.

Singapore Airlines also said that after the first A350 enters service, it will receive 11 more A350s within one year. In addition to the 67 firm orders, the airline still holds options to purchase an additional 16 A350s.
