Everyone loves chicken cutlets, and shops selling them can be found on every street corner. We’ve previously shared many chicken cutlet spots, including well-known ones like A Liang Chicken Cutlets, Parker Chicken Cutlets, and Lin Mama’s Fragrant Chicken Cutlets in Gushan. But we’re sure there are more delicious chicken cutlet shops waiting to be discovered.

This time, we’re in Fengshan to introduce a chicken cutlet shop that’s been open for less than three months. The small stall, located next to Fengshan Elementary School, occupies just a few square meters—a compact space that’s the owner’s own little world. Previously a food and beverage manager, he wanted to switch careers while still young. His love for chicken cutlets led him to make them the focus of his entrepreneurial journey.

Besides chicken cutlets, to offer more variety, he’s developed chicken thigh cutlets and diced chicken in different flavors. The chicken thigh cutlets have received positive feedback and are definitely worth trying.

The meat used in the shop comes from two major domestic suppliers, PFG and Dacheng, and is delivered fresh daily. Fried items are made to order, so they take a bit of time. If you’re in a hurry, you can call ahead to place an order and pick it up later.

The pepper powder used here smells a bit different from what you’d typically find at other chicken cutlet shops. Upon asking, we learned it’s a specially sourced pepper with a darker color and a fragrant, Chinese-spiced aroma—somewhat similar to the pepper used at A Liang Fragrant Chicken Cutlets near the high-speed rail station.

American-style chicken thigh cutlet: 65 TWD, New Orleans-style chicken thigh cutlet: 65 TWD

The chicken thigh cutlets are about the size of a woman’s palm, thicker than regular chicken cutlets. They’re fried using a crispy skin karaage method—the American version has a mild spicy flavor with a crispy crust and tender meat, while the New Orleans style is marinated with a variety of spices, also using the crispy karaage method, resulting in a crunchy and delicious bite. The shop also debones them for easier eating.

Shrimp-flavored diced chicken: 40 TWD

Thoughtfully, the shop places napkins under the popcorn chicken to absorb oil—a small detail that shows their attentiveness.

This diced chicken is served with mentaiko (pollock roe) salad dressing. Dip it in the sauce to enjoy the burst of mentaiko-like texture.

Retro oden: 20 TWD (small), 40 TWD (large)

The retro oden is inspired by the owner’s childhood memories of delicious oden grilled by a street vendor under a tree. Though deep-fried, it’s still crispy and flavorful.

New Orleans-style chicken wings: 25 TWD (per pair)

Classic New Orleans-flavored chicken wings—if they were a bit more marinated and spicier, they’d be even more addictive.

A single chicken thigh cutlet was enough to defeat both of us—it’s super thick and juicy. We couldn’t finish it all, so we reheated it the next day using an air fryer, and the chicken remained just as tender and delicious as when it was freshly fried.

Just Chicken Cutlet: 49 TWD

In terms of size, the shop’s chicken cutlets are on par with others. They’re not deliberately flattened or oversized—just coated in dry flour, fried, and finished with a sprinkle of pepper.

We were initially worried that the chicken cutlets wouldn’t taste as good when taken home, but our concerns were unfounded. The chicken is well-marinated, stays juicy, and pairs nicely with the pepper—holding its own against other shops.

The shop is located at the Y-shaped intersection right next to the main entrance of Fengshan Elementary School, so it’s not hard to find.

Stepping away from a stable career to strike out on your own opens up endless possibilities—that’s the owner’s personal aspiration. Chicken cutlets are everywhere, but making them delicious enough to keep people coming back takes skill. We believe this shop has won us over, and their other fried items are also thoughtfully crafted. Fried chicken cutlet lovers, if you’re passing by, be sure to support this spot—we highly recommend it.
