Hong Kong’s The Ritz-Carlton is the world’s tallest hotel. Its presidential suite on the 107th floor offers sweeping views of Victoria Harbour and the glittering nightscape of Hong Kong Island. With its extreme luxury and exquisitely spacious layout and vistas, it has hosted many celebrities — even Lady Gaga has visited. The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is located on floors 102 to 118 of the International Commerce Centre (ICC), Hong Kong’s tallest building in Kowloon. Floors 102 to 103 house three renowned high-end restaurants with scenic views, floor 103 is the hotel lobby, and floors 103 to 117 contain guest rooms. Ritz-Carlton public relations representative Lee Shu-yi noted that as a hotel built over 100 floors high, it is the tallest in the world. All 312 rooms offer views of Hong Kong’s nightscape, and on the 118th floor, there is the world’s highest bar, attracting numerous domestic and international travelers.

As befits The Ritz-Carlton, the lobby exudes a low-key yet instantly recognizable sense of luxury. Emphasizing a “skyward journey through time,” the moving ink-wash horse mural in the visual art display on the 103rd floor hints at this concept. After checking in here, guests take an elevator directly to the highest guest floor — the 117th — where the ultimate luxury of the presidential suite begins.

The presidential suite spans approximately 127 ping (about 420 square meters), featuring a general living area, a study, a meeting room, and a bedroom. The bathroom includes not only a central bathtub but also two shower stalls, two toilets, an oven, and a massage recliner. Upon closer inspection, the suite features a corner sofa with a view, equipped with a telescope, along with international chess sets and various music CDs for guests’ enjoyment.

Lee Shu-yi stated that the materials and color scheme of the presidential suite were chosen to be neutral, aiming to provide a sensory experience suitable for both male and female guests. In addition to the presidential suite, every suite in the hotel also comes with a telescope and a viewing corner. The presidential suite’s interior is equipped with high-end amenities, so its pricing is naturally quite steep — HK$139,000 per night (excluding tax), which is approximately NT$700,000.
