Cathay Pacific unveils new livery as 150 aircraft embrace sleek, minimalist design

With one of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft showcasing the new exterior design at Hong Kong International Airport, Cathay Pacific has reached a new milestone as the entire fleet will gradually adopt the refreshed look.

The new fleet livery mainly features three elements: the updated “brushwing” emblem with smoother lines, launched in October 2014; a simplified color palette of green, gray, and white; and a more prominent display of the Cathay Pacific name along with the brushwing logo. The most noticeable changes are on the nose, fuselage, and tail sections.

Cathay Pacific stated that the new fleet appearance reflects the airline’s commitment to providing customers with a “seamless travel experience.” To elevate the travel experience, the airline has made several important developments, including introducing its new Airbus A350 series aircraft, enhancing products and services, and continuously expanding its route network.

The new Airbus A350 series aircraft will be among the first to debut in the refreshed livery. Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific’s existing fleet of approximately 150 aircraft will be updated with the new design during routine heavy maintenance checks over the next five years.
