Autumn is a lively season—not only can you admire maple leaves and ginkgo trees, but the 40-hectare field of Hangzhou chrysanthemums in Tongluo Township, Miaoli, is also about to enter its blooming period, expected to reach its peak beauty from mid-November.

The Tongluo Township Farmers' Association stated that although two consecutive typhoons in the summer affected nearly half of the chrysanthemum fields, those on the leeward side with better drainage have grown well and are about to enter their flowering season. The best time to view the flowers is expected to be from mid-November to early December. Travelers are advised to stroll along Jiuhu Township Road (between Jiuhu Bridge and Tongke South Road Bridge) and step into the sea of blooming Hangzhou chrysanthemums.

Tongluo Township will also host the “Chrysanthemums and Taro” series of events on November 14 and 15, where visitors can not only admire and experience picking chrysanthemums but also enjoy local Hakka cuisine.
