Chen Lan-shu, the chef at Le Moût, a French restaurant in Taichung, was selected as the 2016 Woman of the Year (The Women of The Year Trophy) by Relais & Châteaux. This award was chosen by a vote of the Relais & Châteaux jury and is one of the series of awards presented in the “Relais & Châteaux Annual Grand Prize.” She is also the only female chef to have received the award since its inception.
The Women of the Year award is sponsored by Pommery Champagne in honor of Madame Pommery, the former president of Pommery, and this accolade recognizes women in the culinary industry who have demonstrated exceptional innovation, breakthroughs, and achievements.
