Tokyo Metro tickets starting from just 1 NT$！2017 ITF Japan Travel Ticket Discount Guide

The 2017 Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) kicked off on the 27th. At the Japan Pavilion, the most anticipated items at the travel fair each year are ticket products. This year, various travel agencies rolled out discounted Japanese transportation tickets. For example, KLOOK launched a Tokyo Metro Pass available for just NT$1, while Keisei Electric Railway was selling discounted Sky Liner tickets at the fair. These included a one-way Sky Liner ticket + Tokyo Metro 24/48/72-hour passes, and tickets purchased at Narita Airport, with price differences of over NT$100—making them essential for traveling to Tokyo.

Keisei Electric Railway

At the travel fair, Keisei Electric Railway sold one-way/round-trip Sky Liner tickets + Tokyo Metro 24/48/72-hour combo tickets, priced between NT$750 and NT$1,450, attracting many travelers to snap them up.

Creation Travel

During the travel fair, Creation Travel sold five types of JR East Japan Railway Passes, including the nationwide 7-day/14-day/21-day versions. The ordinary car version was available at a fair price starting from NT$7,900. The “JR East Japan & Hokkaido Railway Pass” with flexible 6-day validity was priced at NT$7,100 at the fair. The “Hokuriku Arch Pass” was NT$6,500. The “JR East Japan Railway Pass Tohoku Edition” and the “JR East Japan Railway Pass Nagano & Niigata Edition” were sold as exchange vouchers, payable in NTD based on the exchange rate on the day of issuance.

Additionally, anyone purchasing any of the above five PASS types during the fair received a NT$200 discount per adult and NT$100 per child. Those who bought the “JR East Japan & Hokkaido Railway Pass,” “Hokuriku Arch Pass,” “JR East Japan Railway Pass Tohoku Edition,” or “JR East Japan Railway Pass Nagano & Niigata Edition” also received a limited-edition Shinkansen model (150 available).

Kintetsu Railway offered four types of railway PASSes at the fair, including the Kintetsu 1-Day Pass (Osaka, Nara, Kyoto) for unlimited rides at NT$380/day, the Kintetsu 2-Day Pass (Osaka, Nara, Kyoto) for unlimited rides at NT$630/day, the Kintetsu 5-Day Pass at NT$900, and the Kintetsu 5-Day Pass Plus at NT$1,200.

Lion Travel

Lion Travel’s main highlight at the fair was the physical JR West Kansai 3-Day Pass for adults, available at NT$1,300 (about a 10% discount off the regular price), along with a HARUKA one-way super express ticket to Osaka or Kyoto starting at NT$280.

Koala Travel

The most popular items at Koala Travel’s ticket pavilion were the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe Area 1-Day and 2-Day Passes, starting at NT$180. Additionally, the Fukuoka Dazaifu-Yanagawa Sightseeing Ticket (standard version), a perennial favorite, was available at NT$760 this year. For JR Kyushu Railway Passes, options included the Northern Kyushu 3-Day, All Kyushu 5-Day, and Southern Kyushu 3-Day passes, all sold at Koala Travel’s ticket pavilion starting from NT$1,770.
