The U.S. Pavilion is planned by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), Brand USA (the United States National Travel and Tourism Office), and the Discover America Committee. Its design is themed around the great American outdoors. With 36 booths including 15 U.S.-related tourism organizations, it is the largest exhibition by long-haul travel nations at this year’s travel fair.
Exhibitors in the U.S. Pavilion include: the Washington, D.C. Convention and Tourism Corporation, Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Visit California, Guam Visitors Bureau, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Marianas Visitors Authority, Idaho/Wyoming, Hawaiian Airlines, Alaska Vacationland, AVIS Rent a Car, Alamo Rent A Car, Best Western International, and American Express.
During the travel fair, the California Tourism Board hands out unlimited raffle tickets daily to visitors at its booth, with the grand prize draw taking place on the final day. Prizes include a set of 30 NBA tickets for one lucky winner, as well as tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, California Science Center, premium accommodation vouchers from Hostelling International, San Diego Hornblower Alcatraz Cruises, 7D entertainment tickets at Pier 39 Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco Bay Red & White Fleet yacht tickets, exclusive California Disneyland souvenirs, and eco-friendly shopping vouchers from Macy’s.
