Cute Rody invades Taipei! The world's only jumping horse-themed restaurant has opened—Up!

Little D, who loves this kind of themed restaurant, booked a table at this spot'(Jumping Horse) Caffè Rody Themed Restaurant'a while back. Because she had something to do during the day, she directly reserved a table for the evening to dine with friends. The jumping horse originated in Italy in 1984, and the cultural creative team behind this restaurant is theHello Kitty hot potrestaurant—same team—so she had some expectations going in. However, after the actual visit, she felt it was pretty good. Although it mainly attracts parents with kids and female customers, she found there were still many appealing aspects!(PS. We had a reservation that day, so we took some photos at the entrance first, and the shop also designed a photo spot and play area for the jumping horses.

Just seeing these patterns and plush toys at the entrance was captivating—no wonder it’s won the favor of so many girls!

Inside, there are many small spots for photos, and its cute, round appearance is really eye-catching.

The large metal jumping horse at the reception desk on the first floor was so big that Little D couldn’t help but run up and take a photo. The dining areas are located on B1 and 2F. Strictly speaking, the overall space isn’t very large.

The spinning jumping horse lamp and the rocking chair are major draws that attract lots of little kids.

There’s a specially designed wall that’s quite fun—you can scan a QR code with your phone to design your own version of RODY, which is then projected onto the raised jumping horse wall—super creative!

Everyone designs something different, and visitors can take group photos in front of it for social media.(Please refer to the animation video)

On the first floor, there’s a merchandise area with lots of stationery and plush toys. Personally, I think the prices aren’t cheap, but some people are still willing to buy.

The cups on the shelves cost around NT$200–300, which is honestly not cheap. But they’re limited edition items, so Wisely still saw people buying them right away. ^^a

Going down to the B1 dining area, there are more seats inside, and the restrooms are also located here.

B1 has more seating, but the space is more enclosed, so it feels a bit noisier. However, there is a private room here, so it’s okay for hosting gatherings or events—moms were seen bringing their kids here in the evening.

There are also some special design touches on the walls that are actually quite fun.

The 2F has fewer seats, and the bar is also located here. It’s simply designed but has 3D jumping horses all around.

The stirring sticks on the bar are a hit with many visitors—some even hesitate to use them and take them home directly.

Additionally, there are cute coasters and plates, and even the menu is printed with the outline of a jumping horse.

They serve meals here, including not just drinks and desserts, but also salads, pasta, and risotto. The minimum spend per person is NT$200, with a 90-minute time limit. No service charge is added during the trial operation period.

For drinks, I found them rather ordinary—whether it was the iced tea or the... they weren't particularly impressive.

For food, their tiramisu was quite tasty, and other items like the fried platter and pasta were just okay. But the taste level is better than some other themed, cozy-style restaurants—it’s a pretty sincere establishment.

This shop is also located in the East District shopping area, but it’s more towards the edge, near Civic Boulevard. Overall, it lacks a bit in refinement, but for those who love this kind of cute style, it’s definitely a must-visit pilgrimage spot…
