A New Eye-Catching Landmark in Pingtung: The “Mountain and River Glass Bridge” to Open on 12/19

The “Mountain and River Glass Bridge,” connecting Sandimen Township and Majia Township in Pingtung, is expected to open on 12/19The "Mountain and River Glass Suspension Bridge" is expected to open on December 19.In the future, it will become a key route and new landmark linking various attractions in northern Pingtung, showcasing the most beautiful skyline amidst the region’s mountains and forests. Pingtung Bus will also launch a shuttle service between the Sandi Cultural Park and the Sandimen Township Office for public use.
The “Mountain and River Glass Bridge” is 262 meters long and approximately 45 meters above the ground. Located downstream of the old bridge, it connects Sandi Village in Sandimen Township and Beiyeh Village in Majia Township. From the bridge, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic mountain ranges, hence its name. The bridge’s pristine white structure is inspired by indigenous glass beads, and at night, it features a unique light art display, making it a beautiful artwork that showcases traditional indigenous culture.

Opening Date: Expected December 19, 2015 (Year 104 in Taiwan calendar)
Operating Hours: Weekdays 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Weekends 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Fees: Free of charge for the first three months of operation
