This is a highly popular restaurant. Just ask any local in Little India, and almost everyone knows about it. So if you want to enjoy the most authentic Indian food, this is definitely the place to go. The restaurant is bustling with people almost all the time, making it hard to tell whether it’s actually mealtime.

The biggest highlight here is that all the food is served directly on banana leaves. If you want to embrace the local custom, try the most traditional way of eating — no knives or forks, just use your hands to pick up the food. My local friend assures me that eating this way makes the food taste even better and more aromatic. But remember, only use your right hand to eat; using the left hand is considered very impolite.

When paying at the counter after your meal, don’t forget to open the spice box on the counter, scoop out a small spoonful of spices, and chew it in your mouth. It’s said to help eliminate bad breath and aid digestion.
