As the weather gradually turns cooler, it’s the perfect time for a hot spring bath. Still not sure where to go for a soak? ETtoday EVA Air Travel Cloud has compiled a list of hot spring seasons in four regions of Taiwan—north, central, south, and east. Find some time to relax and enjoy yourself soon!

1. New Taipei City Hot Spring Food Festival
The New Taipei City Hot Spring Food Festival offers a variety of activities, including 45% off on nighttime soaking at “Starry Warm Springs” on weekdays, limited-edition “Heartwarming Value Packs,” and the “New Taipei Mountains and Seas Hot Spring Grand Point Collection.” Spend NT$250 at designated stores and you could win major prizes such as a Star Cruises couple’s trip, an iPhone 6s 64G, or a 50T LCD TV.

2. Nantou Hot Spring Season
The Nantou Hot Spring Season takes place in three major hot spring areas in Nantou (Puli Hot Spring Area, Dongpu Hot Spring Area, and Beigangxi Hot Spring Area). Combining local indigenous cultural elements, it invites the public to come soak in the springs, go cycling, and enjoy local cuisine. During the event period, simply stay and soak at participating accommodations, wear a yukata, take a photo, and upload it to join the lucky draw. The grand prize includes round-trip flights to Tokyo.

3. Sichongxi Tourist Hot Spring Season
The Sichongxi Tourist Hot Spring Season, organized by Pingtung County Government under the theme “Happy Sacred Springs, Long Lasting Bond,” combines Sichongxi Hot Springs with Shueihai Hot Springs in Mudan Township. Continuing last year’s initiatives, the event integrates hot spring soaking with sports and tourism events, featuring competitions such as fun runs and cycling races. Additionally, the hot spring park has added a shrine area this year and installed a statue of the Medicine Buddha. During the hot spring season, free blessing slips are available for visitors to tie at the shrine area. On weekends and public holidays, there is also a free shuttle bus service running from 9 AM to 8 PM, transporting visitors between Kenting and Sichongxi Hot Spring Area in Checheng.

4. Taitung County, Tai Ma Li Township, Chinpu Hot Spring Festival
The Chinpu Hot Spring in Tai Ma Li is a well-known wild hot spring in Taitung County. The Chinpu River basin is rich in natural resources, where visitors can explore the birthplace of Taiwan’s indigenous peoples and learn about their culture at the Lralan Millet Workshop. Additionally, the event can be combined with the Roselle Flower Festival in Jinfeng Township, offering a holistic experience of both hot spring soaking and tribal culture. During the event period, special hot spring benefits are available: simply present a local purchase receipt or invoice worth over NT$300 from Chinpu Village in Tai Ma Li to join the lucky draw with abundant prizes.

5. Winter Love Yilan Hot Spring Festival
The 2015 Winter Love Yilan Hot Spring Festival kicks off on December 5th and runs for a month. In addition to hot spring soaking, to make the festival more diverse, Jiaoxi Township Office has introduced Jiaoxi bicycle leisure tourism routes along with special discounts from many shops, aiming to attract both domestic and international travelers.
