Hong Kong WinterFest to Host “Gift Exchange” & Crowd Lu Chuan-chung to Hong Kong to Pick Gifts

The Hong Kong WinterFest is set to kick off in early December. From now until December 6, it will launch an online activity called “Exchange Christmas Gifts with Me.” Centered around the shared holiday tradition of “gift exchange,” the event invites musician Crowd Lu and travel show host Rena Tsai to explore hidden gems in Hong Kong. During the campaign period, participants can not only receive Christmas gifts personally selected by the duo, but also stand a chance to win the grand prize—a 3-day, 2-night Hong Kong New Year’s Eve couple’s travel package.

Shirley Hsu, Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s Taiwan Office, said that Hong Kong is the most Christmassy city in Asia and a top overseas destination for Taiwanese travelers to celebrate the holidays. “Starting in November, skyscrapers along Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour will be decked out in dazzling Christmas lights. This year, shopping malls have all adopted adorable, therapeutic cartoon characters as their festive decoration themes.

The “Exchange Christmas Gifts with Me” online activity kicks off on November 23. Participants just need to upload and share photos of a gift they are willing to exchange. They’ll have the opportunity to swap it for a special gift from Hong Kong for 14 consecutive days. On the final day of the campaign, December 6, a super grand prize—a 3-day, 2-night couple’s travel package in Hong Kong for New Year’s Eve—will be given away.
