The world’s largest English letter lettering spot in the world — Bangkok’s new landmark “G-Tower” to be completed in 2016

After years of construction, Bangkok’s new landmark “G Tower” is finally set to be completed and open in 2016. Business office spaces are now being recruited, and it is expected that visitors to Bangkok next year will be able to see this massive G-shaped structure, the largest of its kind on Earth.

As the name suggests, “G Tower” is shaped like a giant English letter G. The south wing has 30 floors while the north wing has 42. Due to the sloping design of the south wing, which looks as though it might collapse at any moment, the building has been a hot topic amid complaints from nearby residents during its construction.

This controversial G Tower is finally set to be officially completed in 2016, but will only serve as an office building. Grand Canal Land, the company behind the investment, also plans to build the Super Tower, which will be the tallest in Southeast Asia at around 615 meters with 125 floors, combining a luxury hotel and residential units. Its completion date is currently undecided.
