Beef lovers in the Greater Taipei area no longer need to travel all the way to Tainan to enjoy delicious fresh beef from local cattle — Xiangniu No. 2, known for its high-quality beef, is opening a new branch in Banqiao. To celebrate the launch of the Banqiao branch, the owner has launched an incredibly generous promotion: simply leave a comment and share the post on the official Facebook page. When you check out at the Banqiao branch, show your comment and share, and you can enjoy a “Name Your Discount” deal.The promotion runs from October 24 to October 31, and is only available for dine-in at the Banqiao store.

Xiangniu No. 2 uses fresh local Taiwanese beef delivered daily from Tainan. Each cow comes with an identification number and full traceability records. In addition to hot pot, the restaurant also offers braised dishes, stir-fries, grilled items, and beef noodles. The broth used for the hot pot is made from beef bones, slow-simmered for over 12 hours, then further infused with fresh fruits and vegetables for another 3 hours, with absolutely no artificial seasonings added. In addition to à la carte options, the restaurant also offers curated set meals for two.

The “Name Your Discount” promotion for the Banqiao branch opening has garnered an enthusiastic response on Facebook, with many fans commenting things like “I’ll take one percent off!” under the post. The owner of Xiangniu No. 2 explained that there is no fixed discount percentage for this event. Instead, the discount is determined based on customers’ feedback about the food and service quality after their meal, but customers must show their Facebook comment and share before checking out.

The “Name Your Discount” promotion has been so popular that many people have rushed to make reservations. However, the owner of Xiangniu No. 2 noted that currently only half of the seats are available for advance booking, with the other half reserved for walk-in customers.
