A Star-Studded Lineup of Flight Attendants Resembling Celebrities: Kunling, Gwei Lun-mei, and Joe Chen Join the Roster

China Airlines today (December 9) unveiled its 2016 corporate calendar, which features the airline’s major destinations as backdrops, paired with designs starring six flight attendants. Selected from nearly 300 crew members, these six attendants not only bear striking resemblances to celebrities like Kunling, Gwei Lun-mei, and Joe Chen, but also include Chen Bei-yu—nicknamed “Beibei”—who made a cameo appearance in the film *The Only Heirs*.

The 2016 China Airlines calendar showcases popular Asian travel cities such as Tokyo, Macau, and Shanghai, along with domestic destinations like Kinmen and Penghu. The airline noted that four out of the six models appearing in the calendar were participating in a corporate shoot for the first time. Guo Yi-wen, who serves as the model for January and February, has a mixed Chinese-British heritage and striking facial features that resemble those of Kunling, wife of Taiwanese celebrity Jay Chou. Fu Ting, the star of March and April, sports a chic short hairstyle and bears a resemblance to Gwei Lun-mei, often dubbed by netizens as the “little joy of the Wenhu Line.”

Additionally, Liu Yi-xin, known as the “China Airlines Joe Chen,” who has also starred in the airline’s corporate image advertisements, takes center stage for the months of May and June this year. Chen Bei-yu, who made a cameo in *The Only Heirs*, pairs with Jeju Island scenery for the beautiful theme of September and October. Meanwhile, fellow attendants Chen Jia-ai and Hu Yue-shen serve as models for July–August and November–December, respectively.

Besides flight attendants who are often asked by passengers for photos due to their celebrity lookalike features, Chen Bei-yu—who gained attention for her debut acting role—also shared that acting alongside Zhang Rui-jia and Song Yun-hsu was a rare experience she’d love to repeat. When asked about her relationship status, she shyly replied, “I’m still single.”

China Airlines stated that its flight attendants are most frequently complimented for their “passionate service and warm smiles,” which is why these uniquely featured attendants were selected for their friendly expressions. The 2016 calendar, printed with eco-friendly soy-based ink, is not for sale—12,000 copies have been produced mainly for corporate gifts and passenger appreciation, with DragonPass members able to redeem them using miles.
