If you’re shopping at Doota and need a place to rest, check out this FIKA Café, which also offers a view of DDP. The scenery is even more beautiful in the evening.

There are many FIKA cafés in Korea, but this one is relatively small because it’s located inside Doota, which may have space restrictions. Other branches not only offer a wider selection of cakes but also feature many Swedish-designed products, which are quite charming.You can check out this netizen’s review of another branch.

Pastries are self-served from the display case—I’d especially recommend the Semla. “FIKA” is a Swedish word that refers to the time for coffee and relaxation, and semla is one of Sweden’s most famous traditional pastries. Since that’s the case, I figured I should go for the semla~ There are two versions, differing only in flavor—plain or berry. As for its origins, you can Google more for some fascinating details.

The small round bun is sliced open, stuffed with whipped cream, then poured over with warm milk so the bun soaks in it~

I guess you just soak it as long as you want the bread to be soft. Haha~ The rich milk, whipped cream, and mushy bread combo actually feels like kid food~ Oh, and this semla has a hint of almond aroma too.
