The "Sheep Are Here" installation is now at Keelung’s Yangming Marine Culture and Arts Museum Square. Featuring over a hundred interactive sheep art pieces originally designed in Taiwan and previously showcased in Canada, they officially debuted today to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. The exhibition will continue until January 17, 2016. Locals were delighted by the super-cute sheep, taking photos while cuddling them, and describing the experience as extremely soothing.
Remember last year’s paper pandas that captured attention across Taiwan? This (2015) year-end, Keelung will welcome over a hundred "Sheep Are Here" installations. A flock of sheep has gathered at the Yangming Marine Culture and Arts Museum Square near Keelung Railway Station. Kids were thrilled to interact with the flock, eagerly hugging the fluffy creatures. Not only were children delighted, but the overwhelming cuteness level of the sheep hit maximum — even adults couldn't resist acting cute and cuddling the sheep, calling the whole thing very healing.

Organizers revealed that all the sheep were designed by Taiwanese designers and were previously exhibited in Canada to promote Taiwanese festivals. In addition to the interactive sheep photo area, there is also a Christmas tree made of sheep installations. As the Year of the Sheep comes to a close, over a hundred sheep have taken over the square of the Yangming Marine Culture and Arts Museum to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with the public. Due to past incidents of damage to installation art, and concerns about these sheep — which traveled all the way from Canada — getting harmed, the museum staff closely monitored and protected the “sheep” throughout the event.
