Seizing Business Opportunities: IoT Zhongbao Unlimited+ and Revival Catering Launch Frozen New Year’s Eve Dishes

With the Lunar New Year countdown underway, pre-orders for New Year’s Eve dishes have officially begun, as hotel and catering businesses compete for a share of the frozen New Year’s Eve dish pre-order market, estimated to be worth up to NT$2 billion. IoT Zhongbao Unlimited+ under the SIGMU Group and Revival Catering are launching their first-ever 2016 co-branded frozen New Year’s Eve dish pre-order, featuring a premium Chinese Buddha Jumps Over the Wall set and a Western-style German pork knuckle combo. The products go on sale officially on December 15, priced at NT$1,998.

The Chinese New Year’s dish “Premium Buddha Jumps Over the Wall” set comes with Japanese sweetfish in sweet soy broth, pumpkin tower, and eight-treasure taro paste; the Western-style “German Pork Knuckle” set includes garlic seafood over seasonal vegetables, pumpkin tower, and braised dried plum pork. The New Year’s dish combos can be ordered from now until January 30, 2016, with home delivery starting from December 25, 2015, through February 3, 2016.

Additionally, Shanghai Countryside has partnered with domestic e-commerce platforms Rakuten and Yahoo Super Mall to offer online pre-orders for New Year’s Eve dishes, featuring customizable exclusive dish combinations. They have launched three combo options: the “Prosperity Trio Combo” for NT$1,499, the “Fortune Reunion Five-Piece Combo” for NT$2,099, and the “Good Fortune Seven-Piece Combo” for NT$2,699. Pre-orders placed before December 31 enjoy an early-bird discount and come with a free liver sausage set.
