Four locations in New Taipei City decked out for Christmas – Evening light displays create a romantic atmosphere

With Christmas approaching and a heartwarming festive vibe in the air, this year the High Embankment Engineering Office of New Taipei City Government has not only continued last year’s tradition of decorating areas such as the Xinsheng Bridge Xinzhuang end vicinity, Bali Ferry Pier, and Tamsui Golden Waterfront with vibrant Christmas-themed lights, but has also added romantic sparkling highlights along both sides of Xizhi Starlight Bridge.

The High Embankment Engineering Office of New Taipei City Government stated that the lighting display will continue until after the 2016 Lantern Festival (February 22), with daily illumination from 18:00 to 23:00. The public is welcome to come and experience a uniquely romantic evening.

1. Xinsheng Bridge
Shimmering star-shaped lights illuminate the trees around Xinsheng Bridge, creating a dazzling and joyful festive ambiance.

2. Bali Ferry Pier
The row of trees at the ferry pier is adorned with soft pink star-shaped floral displays.

3. Tamsui Golden Waterfront
The bustling Tamsui Golden Waterfront has been decorated with new macaron-inspired hues, offering a fresh and distinctive look. Overhead strings of star-shaped lights twinkle like shooting stars, accompanying strollers along the way.

4. Xizhi Starlight Bridge
This year’s addition, Xizhi Starlight Bridge, uses surrounding trees and railings to hang warm red-and-white star decorations. Ice-drop-style lights on the railings outline the riverbank’s contours, presenting a spectacular visual feast.
