According to a report by the UK’s Daily Mail, if you want to snag a good flight deal, it’s best to avoid booking on Fridays. Booking on Sundays can save you a lot, with price differences sometimes reaching up to 13%!
This research was actually conducted jointly by Expedia and the Airlines Reporting Corporation. For travelers heading to Europe, booking 140 days in advance will get you the lowest prices.
Last year’s survey resultsshowed that “Tuesday” was the cheapest day of the week for flights. However, this year’s results have changed slightly, with the lowest fares now falling on weekends, while Tuesday still closely follows. The sample for this study wasbased on the booking habits of 1 billion travelers.
This research is primarily based on data from US travelers and can be used as a reference.
