A Collection of Four Popular Night Market Delicacies: Get 100 Free Chicken Cutlets at New Taipei Night Market’s Crescent Moon Festival

Visiting night markets has become part of daily life in Taiwan, where you can hop from one stall to another, eating as you stroll and satisfying your greedy taste buds. The New Taipei City Market Administration has invited four major night markets in New Taipei — Banqiao NS Ya Night Market, Shulin Xingren Garden Night Market, Xizhi Sightseeing Night Market, and Yonghe Lehua Night Market — to jointly host the New Taipei Night Market Crescent Festival on November 4 and 5 at Xinyue Bridge (Xinzhuang end). The event will also offer 100 free chicken cutlets and bubble tea, with festivities lively from afternoon till night.

The New Taipei Night Market Crescent Festival invites these four major night markets to join in the fun. Highlights include NS Ya Night Market’s traditional dish — sticky rice sausage wrapped in intestine, Lehua Night Market’s angel chicken cutlet that’s thicker than steak, Xingren Garden Night Market’s popular grain-based food — Fulingka made mainly from Taiwanese rice, and Xizhi Sightseeing Night Market’s ultra-vegetarian composite plant-based offerings, which will unveil a Crescent Festival-limited Mexican chili pork burger burger, proving that going veg can be trendy too.

In addition to a variety of night market foods, the Crescent Festival also features a range of fun and rewarding activities. At 3 PM and 5 PM each day, the “Hourly Food Treat” offers the first 100 visitors free access to iconic night market snacks like chicken cutlets and bubble tea. At 7 PM, the “Crescent Festival Lucky Draw” takes place, with top prizes including a NT$500 voucher, plus other prizes such as a 43T TV, Minions instant photo prints, and the grand prize — an iPhone 8.
